Jail Survival Tips - Things I Had To Learn Quick Behind Bars!

So what are some things you can do to stay safer? I have listed the following situations and things you must do and not do while you spend your time incarcerated inside a maximum security jail. Now you have to realize there are alot of people waiting trial in jail, who happen to be murderers and guys looking at doing the rest of their natural born life behind bars. You will need to follow these strategies to keep yourself alive and in safe. Including keeping yourself out of trouble.

Jail Survival Tips #1 - Be careful who you associate with. It's often that child moulestors will try to bring fresh fish into their group. They do this to get more members and try to be a stronger unit. Why do they do this? Child moulesters and rapists get targetted and attacked the most by other inmates. Never hang out or associate with a known sex offender. Also, stay away from gangs. If you associate with the wrong people, another group of people will be your enemy. Do your time as low profile as you can associating with other prisoners who share your like mindedness.

Jail Survival Tips #2 - Work. If you are able to get a prison job by all means do it. Being able to work indicates to the parole board that you are becoming a reformed criminal. Doing other things to make the jail system believe you are reforming is good too. Attend church, drug addiction meetings, other forms of spirituality, school, college whatever you can do in there. Doing good things with your jail time can fast track your parole or probation process. So do as much good time as you possibly can!

Jail Survival Tips #3 - Avoid carrying weapons. Don't be caught carrying shanks or other home made weapons. The one weapon I do suggest you carry is a pen or pencil and that's it. A pen or pencil is very discrete but if you have to use it against an attacker it will come in handy. Otherwise avoid holding onto weapons for other inmates and also avoid doing drugs. The jail system tracks its prisoners now a days with random drug testing. So if you are caught with drugs in your blood you are going to be looking at possibly more charges and added on time to your debt to society.

Do your best to be a good prison citizen and stay low key and avoid problems and fights by all means. Don't get caught up in the prison drama of politics and just do your own time.
